Cancel automated TaxJar filings for a state

Follow these instructions of you want to permanently cancel automated filing services with TaxJar. Please note that once you receive a cancellation confirmation, you will be responsible for filing your returns. 

To cancel filings beginning with the current return, submit your request by the 4th of the month the return is due.

NOTE: To temporarily stop filing in a state, you should pause or skip the filing instead, to avoid going through the filing verification process again.

How to stop filing all returns in a state

1. From the Filing Summary in your Stripe Tax Dashboard, click Request changes. 
2. Choose type of change, which for cancellation would be Something else.  
3. Add details about the cancellation.  NOTE: You cannot cancel returns that have a status of filing in progress or submitted. 
4. Review and confirm that you are prepared to cancel. You'll receive a email confirmation notice.
